Slashdot Menu
Added by vasdee, 10 Months, 2 Weeks, 4 Days, 16 Hours, 13 Minutes ago
This is a stylish collapsible menu modelled after the navigational menu found on Slashdot. Configure the menu in a multitude of ways, such as which sub menus to expand by default, whether to persist menu states using cookies, to the speed in which menu items expand/ collapse. Very cool.

For any type of content that needs to be organized in some sort of hierarchy.

* Lists don't have a depth limit and you can use more than one list on the same page.
* Script dynamically adds buttons for expanding and collapsing all child lists.
* You can set depth level up to which you want to have lists initially expanded.
* Cross browser support.
* List is accessible…

This script allows for nested menus, based on dynamic "AJAX" responses. The menu can also be dragged/dropped thanks to the jQuery Interface Library. Requirements: This script requires jQuery and Interface for jQuery (Drag-and-Drop).

dTree
Added by aycarumba, 1 Year, 1 Month, 1 Week, 3 Hours, 56 Minutes ago
dTree is a free JavaScript tree menu.

There are a lot of tree generating scripts just like this one, and many of them are great. So why use dTree?
dTree is very simple to set up and use. You don't have to worry about adding pages to the tree in a specific order, which makes it ideal for generating a tree from a database.

Let's be honest, this menu isn't anything unique or special... but it was time to get a vertical menu on the site. What I do like about it is that it can serve as a good foundation for someone trying to build something with a little more style. The CSS/XHTML is very clean and easy to understand. There is only 1 image for this menu too, so you won't need to open up Photoshop to customize the menu.

A flyout menu with FOUR sub levels, overlap and overrun.
Added by aycarumba, 1 Year, 2 Months, 1 Day, 18 Hours, 51 Minutes ago
Four sub-levels with overlap and overrun. This one uses a background image for the list items and pointer for the sub-level indication, but you could use just background colors.

Tested in IE5.5, IE6, IE7, Firefox and Opera.
